Sedation & Anesthesia
It is estimated that one-third of American adults experience anxiety associated with dental visits. Many are so fearful that they avoid dental visits altogether. This, in turn, relates to many adults over 35 years of age who develop a number of oral problems, including periodontal disease, the leading cause of adult tooth loss. Dr. David Kuhn, Dr. Mandy Grimshaw, Dr. Ritt Kuhn and Dr. Bernie Dennison are trained and certified in oral conscious sedation. Share your concerns with us!
Dr. Ritt Kuhn is also trained and certified to administer IV sedation dentistry, so you will enjoy a rewarding, relaxing dental experience in our Aberdeen dental office. Dr. Kuhn completed extensive training that covered over 132 hours education to become certified to provide IV sedation. While sometimes referred to as twilight sedation, IV sedation allows patients to be totally relaxed before, during and after treatment with little or no memory of the procedure.
Regardless of why you feel apprehensive, all of our doctors can provide sedation dentistry so you will enjoy a relaxing, stress free dental experience in our office.
Sedation dentistry is ideal for adults with...
- High fear or very sensitive teeth
- Difficulty getting numb or a heightened gag reflex
- Limited time to complete dental care
- A dread of needles and shots
Your comfort is always a priority at every visit and with each member of our team. Please mention your concerns prior to your procedure so that we can understand your needs and create a custom treatment plan that will make you feel well cared for, comfortable, and confident.
